This Privacy Policy explains how Reel Analytics handles personal information in connection with the Platform and related services.

Important: Please read this document carefully. It contains important provisions affecting your legal rights and obligations.

1. Scope and Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Reel Analytics in connection with app.reel-analytics.com, related Reel Analytics websites and services, player profiles, video analysis, subscriptions and purchases, communications, promotions, partner/API submissions, and support interactions (collectively, the "Services").

Reel Analytics is a football recruiting and athletic-performance analytics platform. Athletes, parents, analysts, and authorized partners may submit game/highlight video and player information so Reel Analytics can generate metrics such as Max Speed and IGA Score®, publish authorized profile/leaderboard information, and provide related recruiting and analytics features.

2. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Services. Categories may include:

Video and mediaSubmitted or linked game/highlight video, clips, thumbnails, photos, annotations, timestamps, bounding boxes, processed videos, and related media metadata.
Athletic analytics and derived informationMax Speed, IGA Score®, submetrics, distance, acceleration or transition metrics, percentiles, rankings, leaderboards, review outcomes, confidence/processing information, and other analytics derived from submitted video.
Transaction and subscription informationPlan, purchases, credits, subscription status, billing period, payment-provider/customer identifiers, transaction history, and limited payment-method information made available by our payment processor. Reel Analytics does not need your full payment-card number to provide the Services.
Communications and marketing informationSupport requests, feedback, referral information, survey or promotion responses, email/SMS preferences, and communications with us.
Technical and usage informationDevice/browser information, IP or network information, session/authentication data, logs, security events, usage activity, rate-limit data, and similar information generated when you use the Services.
Partner-submitted informationInformation submitted by authorized API partners, analysts, teams, or other authorized persons on behalf of a player, including player data, video links, analysis requests, attribution, and callback/processing information.

3. Sources of Personal Information

  • Directly from you when you create an account, build or update a player profile, upload or link video, purchase a plan, contact us, or participate in a promotion.
  • From parents, guardians, coaches, analysts, teammates, schools, teams, or other persons authorized to submit information or content for an athlete.
  • From authorized API partners and integrations that create player records or submit analysis requests.
  • From third-party video or content platforms when you provide a link or otherwise authorize us to retrieve content for analysis.
  • Automatically from your browser, device, and interactions with the Services.
  • From payment, cloud, email, security, analytics/processing, and other service providers that support the Services.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • create and manage accounts and player profiles;
  • receive, retrieve, store, segment, annotate, process, review, and analyze submitted video;
  • generate, verify, deliver, and display athletic metrics, reports, graphics, rankings, and other analytics;
  • operate public or user-facing leaderboards and profile features where authorized;
  • process purchases, subscriptions, credits, renewals, referrals, and related account benefits;
  • communicate about analysis status, results, account activity, security, support, products, features, promotions, and updates;
  • administer promotions, challenges, contests, prizes, and partner-sponsored programs;
  • personalize and improve the Services, develop and evaluate analytics methods, troubleshoot errors, test features, and maintain service quality;
  • protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce terms, authenticate access, apply rate limits, and secure our systems;
  • support API partners and provide authorized callbacks or results;
  • comply with law, legal process, contracts, and regulatory obligations; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified statistics and insights that do not reasonably identify an individual.

5. Video Analysis and Automated Processing

Reel Analytics uses automated computer-vision technology, supporting cloud/video-processing services, and analyst review to measure athletic performance from submitted footage. Processing may include shot or clip detection, athlete selection/annotation, motion and speed analysis, metric calculation, confidence/quality checks, review, and generation of processed media or graphics.

These systems are designed to evaluate athletic performance shown in the submitted footage. Analytics can be affected by camera angle, video quality, occlusion, field visibility, clip selection, athlete identification, and other technical conditions. Reel Analytics may improve or change its analytics methods over time.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Service providers and processors that help with cloud hosting/storage, video processing, analytics infrastructure, payment processing, email/communications, security, support, and related operations.
  • Authorized analysts and contractors who review video, annotations, processing results, support requests, or other information as needed to provide the Services.
  • API partners, teams, schools, or other authorized partners when the data or analysis request originated from that partner or when you authorize the disclosure.
  • The public or other Platform users when you or an authorized submitter elects or permits public profile, leaderboard, promotion, or social/marketing display.
  • Professional advisors, insurers, auditors, financing sources, and transaction counterparties where reasonably necessary for business, legal, accounting, insurance, financing, merger, acquisition, or asset-transfer purposes.
  • Government agencies, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other third parties when we believe disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the integrity of the Services.

Current documented service infrastructure includes third-party providers for payments, cloud storage/processing, video analysis, email, and source-video retrieval. These providers process information subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

7. Public Profiles, Leaderboards, and Promotional Content

Certain features may make selected player information public, including name, school/team, position, graduation year, media, Reel Analytics metrics, rankings, and other authorized profile information. Public information may be viewed, copied, shared, or indexed by others outside Reel Analytics.

We may also use authorized player names, images, likenesses, submitted or processed media, metrics, testimonials, or biographical information to promote Reel Analytics as described in the Terms. Contact us if you want to request that we discontinue future promotional use of particular materials. Removal from prior publications, third-party reposts, archived materials, or completed campaigns may not always be possible.

8. Payments

Payment transactions are handled through third-party payment services. Reel Analytics may receive and store transaction identifiers, customer identifiers, plan/subscription information, payment status, and limited payment-method details needed to manage your account. Payment providers process card and other payment information under their own privacy and security practices.

9. Cookies, Sessions, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, session technologies, local storage, logs, and similar technologies as needed to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember preferences, support security, understand service usage, prevent abuse, and operate or improve the Services. Third-party service providers may also use these technologies when providing services to us.

Browser-level "Do Not Track" signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control for covered activities, we will honor it as required.

10. Marketing Communications

If you provide contact information or otherwise qualify to receive marketing under applicable law, we may send communications about Reel Analytics products, challenges, offers, partners, or other relevant opportunities. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message and can opt out of marketing text messages by following the instructions in the message. Transactional, account, service, security, or legally required communications may still be sent.

11. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Reel Analytics does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Based on our current Services, Reel Analytics does not use personal information to operate a cross-context behavioral advertising business. If our practices change in a way that constitutes "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under applicable privacy law, we will update this Policy and provide the notices and opt-out choices required by law.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain player history and analytics, administer subscriptions and transactions, satisfy legal/accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support backups or disaster recovery.

Retention periods vary by data type, relationship, and legal requirement. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies an individual. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we take steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Current documented controls include hashed passwords and API credentials, encrypted partner callback secrets, session-based authentication, role-based access controls, rate limiting, input sanitization, webhook isolation, and separation of payment test/live environments. No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Children and Teen Users

The Services are not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account or use the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without the parental notice and consent required by applicable law. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner not permitted by law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Users ages 13 through 17 may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian as described in the Terms. Parents and guardians may contact us regarding a minor’s account, content, or privacy rights. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, guardianship, or authority before acting on a request.

15. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal information and access the information we maintain about you;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete personal information;
  • obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activities where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and
  • not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a privacy request, contact support@reel-analytics.com and describe the right you want to exercise. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider or appeal by replying to our decision. You may also have the right to contact your state attorney general or privacy regulator.

16. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Disclosures

U.S. state privacy laws may require additional disclosures about categories of personal information, business purposes, disclosures to service providers or other third parties, and consumer rights. The categories described in Sections 2 through 6 are intended to provide that information in a clear, consolidated format.

For California residents, categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers/contact information, customer/account records, characteristics or profile information, commercial information, internet/electronic-network activity, audio/visual information, education-related information voluntarily supplied for recruiting profiles, and inferences or derived athletic-performance information. We collect and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described above. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

17. International Users

Reel Analytics is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

18. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, video platforms, payment services, social networks, or other services. This Privacy Policy does not govern privacy practices of third parties that Reel Analytics does not control. Review their policies before providing personal information to them.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, technology, law, or our practices. We will update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice of material changes where required by law. Material changes apply prospectively from the effective date of the updated Policy.
